August Dividends

August  month 8 is in Books and  time is flying even quicker. I have received dividends from 21 companies this month across my accounts.

I received $502 in dividends this month and its a new record for me for the month of august even with big cuts in WFC. Compared to last August  its an increase of 16%. With AAPL/T/CAT being the biggest payers.

As seen it has been good growth for the last few years .

I crossed 5K dividends with this month dividends.I had a Goal of 11K Dividends for this year and with all these cuts it will be a tough ask,as of this month i reached 46% of goal. If i received same amount of dividends for the last 4 months i will be  9.7K.

Recently i started doing some trades in dollar values instead of number of shares.

7/28 Bought $100 worth of MMM share @155.69(.642 shares)

7/31 Bought $100 worth of MMM share@149.28(.669 Shares)

7/31 Bought 1 share of  MMM  @150.28.

8/13 Bought 5 shares of MO@ 42.75

I also added some speculative plays like RIOT,ASPS this month.

Overall I recovered  around $140 dollars  from the capital invested.

2020 July Dividend Report

Time is flying ,world is different ,Hope we get the treatment/vaccine soon. July is in books.Overall 20 Companies paid me dividends this month ,From companies that paid me dividends in AprilCXW completely Cut dividends and VTR and Fundrise reduced by  $25 each .
Overall dividends received in July are 416.32 which is a new record for the month of July Since i started tracking my dividends.
Compared to my 2019 July this is 13% increase with all these cuts.JPM/CINF Are new additions to the portfolio.

2020 Dividends.Before the Pandemic i hoped to receive 11k  in dividends with increases,new addition of funds .So Far i am at 42% of the Goal with 5 more Months to Go and i am starting to think it will be stretch Goal .

June Dividends

I have received the following dividends for the month of June.
Total Dividends  Received for the month of June is 1215 .Its an increase compared to last year.

Looking at the last few years  after peaking in June 2018 ,dividends are down for the month of June.

2020 Dividend Goal.This year i aimed  for 11K in dividends before the pandemic and cuts ,So far i received $4200 in dividends  ,lets see where i will land.

LYB,CINF will pay dividends this quarter and i will be able to collect them.

May Dividends

May is completed .19 Companies Paid me Dividends this Month and i added few companies last month before the ex dividend date and Sold them off. RY,BMO are the examples for this.

Total dividends Received this Month are $553.79.With  ATT leading  the way with $104 and some more big hitters like AAPL,RY,ABBV. This  is like some one working 55 hours at $10/hr and Almost receiving $17 a day for the whole month.

Compared to 2019 this month dividends went up by 47%.

2020 Dividend Goal: With this months dividends i reached 27% of the Goal.

Recent Buy –HON,ED,AMP

Since the last 1 month i have been slowly adding some purchases.
I added most of these before the  ex dividend date ,So i should get dividend for this quarter.

These will add another $301 in dividends.If none of them Cut dividends in next few months

Expired Options -SPCE

Since i bought shares of SPCE at $38,i have been writing covered calls for the stock to recover some losses. So far  I have written 3 covered calls and all have expired.

SPCE $58 CALL SELL 2/28 this  netted me $340 as the option expired.

SPCE $43 CALL SELL 4/17 this netted me another $15.

SPCE$35 CALL SELL  5/8 this added  another $43 in premium .

All these calls helped me recover $398  and exactly another $1400 to recover either via stock price or options.

I will keep writing these covered  calls as long as they make sense.

These trades helped me understand options little better and i am looking at writing covered calls for some other positions in my account.
